LOTS OF POSITIVE CHANGES IN 2016 FOR THE WF TEAM INCLUDING
THE FOLLOWING RECOGNITIONS:
DAVID WINGATE DIRECTOR
ARCHITECTURE | INTERIOR DESIGN
David is an architect with wide experience of architectural
design and management in New Zealand and the UK. He
has experience in many fields, including public buildings,
education, commercial, interiors, retail and residential
buildings. More recently David has developed particular
skills in housing projects and urban design. David
strives to produce high quality design solutions to meet
clients' needs in all respects: visually, environmentally,
technically, on time and on budget.
David's design method involves close dialogue with the
client to explore and develop the brief and ensure that
the design grows out of a shared understanding of the
objectives. In this way the design can bridge the gap
between what is desirable and what is possible.
CHRIS BRADING PRINCIPAL
Chris heads the architecture team and is an architectural
designer with experience gained in New Zealand and the
UK. That experience spans a wide range of project types
and sizes. Chris' interest in efficient design is reinforced
by his background in community, industrial projects and
multi-unit housing. His comprehensive understanding of
the building industry enables him to successfully lead
large teams and coordinate multiple consultants with
ease and competence. This skill is demonstrated by
Chris' involvement in numerous commercial projects.
Chris enjoys creating a clear, functional and fit
for purpose architecture which is formed through
a thorough interrogation of the constraints involved.
He values forming close relationships with clients
and consultants and believes that this is fundamental
in achieving a successful project.
PAUL VAN LENT PRINCIPAL
Paul leads the Interior Design team. He is a spatial
designer with a specialised focus on the rapidly evolving
design of office workplaces. In the last 15 years Paul has
worked on a diverse range of projects from boutique
office fit outs and renovations, to providing strategic
planning and workplace design solutions for large
multinational organisations. Paul believes strongly
in the influence that the built environment can have on
both an organisation and the individual, and brings a
considered and focused design response to achieving
the best outcome for both. His experience covers all
design processes from strategic briefing through to
construction observation on site.
Paul's rounded knowledge further draws from 10 years
of practical construction experience, gained throughout
New Zealand, the UK and Holland.
THOMAS OKI ASSOCIATE
Thomas has a background in industrial design and
product development. He is consequently conversant,
not only with visual design principles, but also with the
technical aspects of design. Thomas obtained a National
Diploma in Architectural Technology to further his career
in the architectural & building industry.
Thomas enjoys 3D CAD modelling using Revit software.
He is highly skilled at resolving three dimensional
design problems for both presentation and construction
documentation purposes. Not only does this assist our
clients to take informed decisions at concept design stage,
but it also ensures proper design resolution in the later
stages of a project.
